A Letter from the Rice County Historical Society Coronado Quivira Staff
|
These are certainly trying times for all of us. While Rice County Historical Society CHS/CQM is closed to the public, our staff continues to work remotely to bring the love of exploration of history to your home through social media posts.
Although our programs and upcoming exhibits are currently postponed, we will reschedule as many of them as possible once we reach the other side of this pandemic.
We thank you for your continued support and cannot wait to see you all back at RCHS/CQM.
Be safe and be well,
RCHS/CQM Staff

Preparation for 2021 !
2021 is the year ! RCHS/Coronado Museum is developing plans for the 200th anniversary of The Santa Fe Trail and the 150th anniversary of Rice county.
One of the exhibits we are researching is "The Buffalo Soldiers on the Santa Fe Trail." A time line for Rice county is being researched with the help of community members, these interviews will provide a look back into the rich history of Rice county.
The Museum needs old family recipes or cookbooks, we are researching an exhibit for this also.
